Obituary for Amanda Christine Rehder

**In order to keep Amanda's funeral current, her date of death has been changed to April 16, 2023.

Amanda Christine Rehder, age 35, of Watertown, SD, passed away from an accidental death in Watertown. She went for a walk in the snow but she was never alone. God walked with her and took her to his Heavenly home on February 16, 2023.

PLEASE NOTE DATE OF SERVICES: Her visitation will be from 12:00-1:00 p.m. with funeral services to follow at 1:00 p.m., May 5, 2023 at the Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel. Reverend Cheryl Rondeau-Bassett will officiate.

Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Watertown.

Pallbearers will be Brian Rehder, Dave Lowery, Joe Ortmeier and Luke Woertink, Paul Green and Gabe Thyne.

Amanda was born on November 30, 1987 in Watertown, SD to Tony Rehder and Vicki (Lowery) Rehder. She spent her first 3 weeks in the NICU in Sioux Falls, SD and was the biggest (6 pound) baby there. She came home a healthy, happy baby. Amanda was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Watertown.
Amanda graduated from Watertown Senior High School in 2006. She then attended Black Hills State University in Spearfish, SD. Amanda was intelligent, creative, and art was her true passion.

Memories of Amanda will always be cherished by her family and friends, including the most recent memories, summer in the pool with her boys, a trip to Colorado with her friend, Tiffany to visit a bird sanctuary, (she has a parrot named Mr. Beans) and a very special Christmas.

Amanda's smile will forever be remembered. Her plans for the future, more time spent with her boys, more memories to make, her time was too short. For those who knew and loved her will take comfort in knowing Amanda left in God's love, and it is His love that will heal them.

Amanda is survived by her father, Tony Rehder; her mother, Vicki Rehder (Joe Ortmeier); two young sons, Hayden Rehder and Leo Mack; her brother, Brian Rehder (Myranda Sattler); and her nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Elmer and Hilda Rehder, and Duane and Ruth Lowery.
