Obituary for Annette E. Block
Annette Block, age 76, of Watertown passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2020.
Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 pm, Saturday 19, 2020 at Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel in Watertown.
Private family graveside services will be Saturday at St. Mary’s Cemetery with Father Richard Fox.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Nathan and Jared Jacobson, Tracer and Stuart Bowar and Cody and Hudson Block.
Annette Eileen Block was born on September 21, 1943 to Leo and Mildred Vogel in Sisseton, SD. She graduated from Sisseton High School in 1962.
She married the love of her life, Gene Block on July 28, 1962. The couple moved to Watertown in 1967. Annette was employed at Running’s for 29 years.
Annette loved bowling, and would light up like a Christmas tree when she hugged her grandsons. She made the best potato salad ever, that no one can seem to master.
She is survived by her husband, Gene of 58 years of marriage, her children, Todd (Kathy) Block, Nancy Jacobson, Shelly (Barry) Bowar, Cory and Chad (Amy ) Block. Her amazing grandsons, Nathan (Bre) and Jared (Morgan) Jacobson, Tracer and Stuart Bowar, and Cody and Hudson Block. Two great-grand-daughters, Emery & Ivy Jacobson. Her sister, Marcella Enstad and brother, Louis Vogel.
She was proceed in death by her parents, her sister and brother-in-law, Darlene and Eugene Bucklin, her sisters, Margarite Trombley, Joanne Green and brother in law, Melvin Enstad and her in-laws, Anton & Caroline Block.
