Beneda Day, age 87, Watertown, South Dakota, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at Prairie Lakes Hospital in Watertown.
There will be a private family service.

Beneda Verona Day, the daughter of William and Gladys (Friske) Lentz was born on February 23, 1932 in Clark County, South Dakota. She grew up in the Summit area.
Beneda loved spending time with her family, gardening, especially flower gardening, baking and reading. She loved all animals, but most especially cats.
She worked for Prairie Lakes Healthcare System for many years and continued to volunteer there after her retirement. She was well known for her kindness and sense of humor.
Beneda is survived by her children, Brian Day of Wheaton, MN, Michael Day of LaCrosse, WI, Nancy Day of Watertown, SD and Mark Day of Bruce, SD; three grandchildren, Ryan Day, Ashley Day and Amanda Day; and her cat, Homer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Gladys Lentz; and her brother, Curtis Lentz.
