Obituary for Bonnie Lou Keszler

Bonnie L. Keszler, 63, of Watertown, SD, passed away Monday, June 24, 2019 in Watertown.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 28, 2019 at the Family Worship Center in Watertown with Pastor Steve Ferguson officiating and Pastor Hank Roso as the reader. Pastor Hank Roso will be the soloist accompanied by A.J. Sherrill.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m., Thursday, June 27, 2019 at the Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel in Watertown.
Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Watertown.

Honorary Pallbearers will be their numerous special friends and family.

Pallbearers will be Jim Knudsen, Steve David, Lloyd Popham, Bill Klein, Ron Schmidt and Larry Johnson.

Bonnie Lou Keszler, daughter of Loren and Marilyn J. (Mitchell) Kriese was born on February 6, 1956 in Ortonville, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Bonnie grew up in Marietta, Minnesota where she attended school until 1965 when the family moved to Watertown, South Dakota. She graduated from Watertown High School in 1974.

Bonnie’s employment included: McDonald’s, Watertown Public Opinion, Wurth Midcom Electronics, Premier Bankcard and Verifications Inc., as well as bookkeeping for weddings at Midwest Bible Camp for 20 years.
Bonnie was united in marriage to Rodney Dean Keszler on May 17, 2008 at Family Worship Center in Watertown.

Bonnie enjoyed reading, teaching and singing, ministering to and mentoring others, and opening their home for fellowship. Bonnie loved her Sunday school kids. She was also a Minnesota Vikings fan.

Bonnie had a heart for people and she wanted them to be all they could be for the Lord. She was always there to walk and pray beside someone in need.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, Rod of Watertown, SD; her parents, Loren & Marilyn Kriese of Watertown, SD; four sisters, Nancy (Rick) Thompson of Canton, SD, Betty Sanders of Buda, TX, Kathy (Bruce) Bludorn of Watertown, SD and Barb Kriese of Watertown, SD; two brothers, Rick (Theresa) Kriese of Mitchell, SD and Cliff (Anne) Kriese of Henry, SD; her step-children, Jonathan Keszler of WA and Jolyn Keszler of Watertown, SD; two step grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her brothers-in-law, Bob Sanders and Brad Meyer.
