Briana Kay Hinkelman, age 37, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at her residence.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday at Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Watertown with Pastor Iver Possehl officiating.
Briana's service will be recorded and added to her obituary page when available.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, January 31, 2021 at the Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel in Watertown.
Interment will be at Lakewood Cemetery, Waubay, SD.
Pallbearers will be Tia Monsen, Emily Retterath, Jana McMillan, Ashley Paulsen, Josh and Justin Hinkelman.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be designated to Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 715 2nd St. NE, Watertown, SD 57201 or Zion Lutheran Church, 224 5th Ave., Waubay, SD 57273.
Briana Kay Hinkelman, daughter of Armin and Candace (Westrum) Hinkelman was born on May 27, 1983 in Bismarck, ND. Briana was baptized and confirmed at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in Bismarck. She attended school in Bismarck and graduated from John Marshall High School in Rochester, MN.
In 2002 Briana moved with her parents to Watertown and was a receptionist for several years at her dad's Thrivent Financial office.
Briana loved watching sports and reading books, and connecting with her aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Briana is survived by her parents, Armin and Candace; her brothers, Travis (Caroline) Hinkelman of Rocklin, CA, and Jared (Kate) Hinkelman of Bismarck, ND; her nieces and nephews, Gabrielle Hinkelman of Lincoln, NE, Owen Hinkelman of Rocklin, CA, Alaina, Lucas and Emma Hinkelman of Bismarck, ND; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Edward and Marvel Hinkelman and Harold and Lillian Westrum.
