Obituary for Christopher Alan "Chris" Kranz
Christopher "Chris" Alan Kranz, age 37, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls.
Funeral mass will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 28, 2022 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Watertown with Father Richard Fox officiating.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, January 27, 2022 at the Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel in Watertown.
Burial will be at a later date.
Christopher Alan Kranz was born to Alan Joseph and Vernia Ruth (Crawford) Kranz on July 20, 1984 in Sioux Falls, SD. He grew up in Watertown where he attended public schools and graduated from Watertown High School.
In the summer you might catch Chris camping with Grandma Bettie whenever he could, or out on the boat fishing. He enjoyed spending time at home with his pets and playing online video games with his friends. Chris also had a family inherited love for racing and raced R/C cars for years. Family meant a lot to him, he enjoyed every minute of the time he had with them.
Christopher is survived by his parents, Alan and Vernia Kranz of Watertown, his grandmother, Bettie Hunter of Watertown; his brother, Curt (Jackie Fieber) Kranz of Watertown; his nieces, McKenzie (Brandon Fisher) Kranz of Miller, SD, Kendra Kranz of Aberdeen, and Jayda Kranz of Watertown; and his special friend, Laurendia Block of Watertown.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Al and Phyllis Kranz and Henry Lambertus.
