Constance “Connie” Anne Amy was born on July 25, 1937 in Watertown, South Dakota to Laurel and Emma (Miller) Sexton. She attended school in Watertown and graduated from Watertown High School in 1955. Connie married Donald L. Amy on November 5, 1962 in Watertown. The couple raised three sons, Todd, Terry and Tim. Connie was a kind soul and a friend to everyone she met. Connie was employed at Midland National Life, Aaron Griepp Insurance Agency and Midcom in Watertown.

She was proud of her family and was especially proud of her granddaughter, Grace. She always looked forward to family reunions and get-togethers with her siblings and their families and was grateful that she and her siblings remained close throughout their lives.

Connie was a faithful collector of anything related to angels and was fond of saying “You should never go faster than your guardian angel can fly”. She was an avid reader and loved to crochet. She enjoyed baking and made the best chocolate chip cookies and Special K bars, thus her love of Hershey’s chocolate. Connie also enjoyed spoiling her grand dogs and she loved George Strait!

Connie is survived by her sons, Todd (Marie) Amy of Stewartville, MN, Terry (Pam Bocker) Amy of Watertown, SD and Tim Amy of Watertown, SD; one granddaughter, Grace Amy; brother-in-law, Alvin “Turk” Amy of Watertown; and her sisters-in-law, Bonnie Sexton of Huron, SD and Marlene Sexton of Lawrenceville, GA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; four brothers; and four sisters.
