Obituary for Kathleen Elizabeth Weiland (Dupont)

Kathleen E. Weiland, age 70, of Bennington, NE, formerly of Watertown, SD, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2013 at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, TX.

Funeral mass will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at the Immaculate Conception Church with visitation from 9-11:00 a.m., prior to the service. Father Michael Wensing will officiate. Music by Danielle Holmquist-Holida, organist and Marie Coon soloist.

Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Watertown.

Kathleen Elizabeth (Dupont) Weiland was born November 16, 1942 to Anton and Bernice (Kranz) Dupont in Watertown, South Dakota. She attended school in Kranzburg and Waverly, South Dakota and graduated from Waverly High School in 1959. Kathleen worked at Northwestern Bell as a Operator for 5 years.

On September 12th, 1964 Kathleen married Jerome Weiland at IC church Watertown. After working for Northwestern Bell, Kathleen dedicated her time to raising her family Thomas and Gregg and helping friends and family.

Pallbearers will be Drew and Arielle Weiland, Jared, Nick, Chad and Tony Dupont.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jasmine, Kayde, and Laney Jo Weiland.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Johnny and Anthony; and one sister, Antonette Imme.

Kathleen is survived by her husband, Jerome of Bennington, NE; her children, Thomas (Dawn) Weiland of Omaha, NE and Gregg (Dustina) Weiland of Dallas, TX; five grandchildren, Drew and Arielle of Omaha, and Jasmine, Kayde and Laney Jo of Dallas; siblings, Mary (Gary) Heisler of Spearfish SD. Joan Reilly of North Chile, NY, Marge (Dean) Keating of Glendale, AZ, Barb (Al) Taken of Watertown, SD, Joe (Shelly) Dupont of Watertown, SD and Jolene (Scott) Haywood of Rapid City, SD; brother-in-law, Rollin (Margie) Imme of
Waterown, SD; sister-in-law, Connie Dupont of Rapid City, SD; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Jerome’s brothers and sister, Ron Weiland, Susie (Jerry) Thoreen, and John (Carol) Weiland are of the Minneapolis area.
