Obituary for Dianne K. Kjellsen

Dianne K. Kjellsen, 74, of Watertown passed away on February 7, 2020 at the Yuma Regional Medical Center in Yuma, AZ.

PLEASE NOTE DATE: Visitation will be held Saturday, February 22, 2020 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Wight and Comes Funeral Chapel. A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. following visitation at the chapel. Reverend Hank Roso will officiate.

Burial will be at the Arlington City Cemetery, Arlington, SD.

Honorary Urn Bearers will be Dianne's grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Dianne Kay Kjellsen, daughter of Orville and Beulah (Mix) Widen was born on August 8, 1945 in Volga, SD. She attended school in Sioux Falls. In 1961, she married Clifford "Kip" Roggenkamp and the couple had two children, Kevin and Debra. They raised their children in Portland, OR before moving back to Watertown.

After moving back to Watertown, Dianne married Darris Kjellsen. The couple enjoyed fishing and hunting and were active members of Dakota Sportsman.

After Darris passed away in August of 1992, Dianne met Jerry Hjermstad and she enjoyed spending time and traveling with him.

Dianne worked in the meat department at Spies Super value, Office Bar in the kitchen and as a waitress and as a cook at Stockman's until her retirement.

Dianne loved spending time with her friends and family. She enjoyed flower gardening, hunting and fishing and playing board games. For the last few years she enjoyed spending time with her special friend, Larry at the river and time in Arizona.

Dianne is survived by her children, Kevin (Becki) Roggenkamp of La Center, WA and Debra (Richard) Adolphsen of Watertown, SD; her grandchildren, Brandi (Matt) Kittelson and their children, Colton, Cooper and Clayton of Henry, SD, Brittney (Rodney) Stryker and their children, Jett and Lucy of Vancouver, WA, Justin (Casey) Adolphsen and their children, Gwen and Gertie of Watertown, SD and Tanner Roggenkamp of Battleground, WA; her stepchildren, Shayne (Sandy) Kjellsen of Broken Arrow, OK, Sherry (Darin) Gullickson of Lake Preston, SD and DeDe (Scott) Gilbertson of Watertown, SD; and her special friend, Larry Anderson of Watertown.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Darris and her brother, Roger Widen.
