Obituary for Donna L. Busskohl
Donna L. Busskohl, 79, of rural Henry, SD, passed away surrounded by family on Friday, August 23, 2019.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 28th, 2019 at the First United Methodist Church with Pastor Marilyn Spurrell officiating.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 27th from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel.
Pallbearers will be Donna’s grandsons: Justin Pieschke, Blair Byer, Cole Busskohl, Clay Busskohl, Travis Busskohl, Travis Fisher, Jacob Heathcote, Brett Busskohl, Ryan Busskohl and Dirk Busskohl.
Honorary Pallbearers will be all of Donna’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Donna Lee Busskohl was born on July 22, 1940 to Harold and Betty (Geisert) LaFramboise. She grew up in Watertown, SD where she graduated from High School. On July 20, 1963 she married Stanley Busskohl at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Watertown. The couple lived on a farm near Henry where they raised their family and farmed for many years. Donna worked at various jobs throughout her working years but being a Mom and Farm wife were her favorite careers.
Donna enjoyed embroidery and reading. She loved taking care of her kids and grandkids, who were her pride and joy.
She is survived by her children, Sheila (Rick) Pieschke of Watertown, Penny (Ed) Fisher, Mike (Robin) Busskohl, Kaye (Merlin) Heathcote and Randy (Stacey) Busskohl all of Florence, Chad (Michele) Busskohl of Atwater, MN and Danny (Christy) Busskohl of Henry; sister, Judy Maag of Florence, SD; two brothers, Roger (Genni) LaFramboise, of Watertown and Larry (Doreen) LaFramboise of Onida, SD; 21 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and her nieces and nephews.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Stanley in 2017.
