Eleanore Ann Cryan was born on August 20, 1932 to Patrick and Harriet (Robb) Redmond in Naples, SD. She moved at a young age with her family to a Homestead Northeast of Henry where she grew up and attended school in Henry. She attended her senior year at Watertown High School, graduating in 1950.

Eleanore married Charles "Chuck" Cryan on May 17, 1952 at St. Henry's Catholic Church in Henry, SD and they had three children, Gregory, Jody and Robert. She worked at the Telephone Company in Watertown for many years until the couple moved back to the family farm in 1972. Eleanore and Chuck had wintered in Sun City, AZ for 13 years. Her beloved husband, Chuck passed away on January 22, 2014.

Eleanore loved animals and spent a lot of time caring for all the animals on the farm. She especially loved her kittens and her dog, Pablo. Eleanore had a kind heart and enjoyed helping people. She was a hard working farm gal, putting in long days and doing it with a smile. She would work all day on the farm and dress classy when leaving the farm. Eleanore looked forward to rides around the country side and special friends, Miles and Shantel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Greg, her husband Chuck, and her brother Patrick Redmond.

Eleanore is survived by her children, Jody Cryan of Watertown, and Robert Cryan of Henry; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Lauseng; her sisters-in-law, Irene Redmond of Watertown, and Shirley Stanwood of Clark; and nieces and nephews.
