Obituary for Eloise Kay Moss
Eloise K. Moss, age 84, of Watertown, SD, formerly of Bulverde, TX, passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Prairie Lakes Hospital in Watertown, SD.
The visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., with funeral services to follow at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Cornerstone United Methodist Church in Watertown. Pastor Steve Anderson will officiate. Music will be furnished by her grandson, Justin Davis and his father, Larry Davis as soloists.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons Joshua Moss, Justin Davis, Jacob Davis, Colton Jordan, Jeriah Davis and Trevor Moss.
Honorary Pallbearers will be her sons, Christopher and Stephen Moss.
Eloise Kay Moss was born to George and Lorene (Nigus) Claunch on December 28, 1937 in Horton, KS. She grew up in Kansas and graduated from Horton High School. She attended college at NDSU in Fargo, ND where she received her Bachelor's degree in Education.
On October 19, 1957 she married Charles L. Moss in Kansas City, MO. Five children, Randall, Christopher, Cynthia, Stephen and Brenda were born to this union. The couple moved to Bulverde, TX and Eloise taught at Smithson Valley Middle School and Spring Branch Middle School. Prior to moving to TX, she lived and taught at New Salem High School in New Salem, ND.
She loved helping with the food bank at church, being a Christian Women's Job Corp mentor and doing Disaster Relief work.
Grateful for having shared in her life are her husband, Charles Moss of Watertown, SD; her children, Christopher Moss of New Salem, ND, Cynthia (Larry) Jordan of Watertown, SD, Stephen (Laura) Moss of San Antonio, TX, and Brenda (Larry) Davis of Cannon Falls, MN; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and her brother, Jerry (Virginia) Claunch of Topeka, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lorene Claunch, and her son Randall Moss.
