Obituary for Eric Dakota Flisrand
Eric D. Flisrand, age 20, of Castlewood, SD, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2019.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel.
Please note date: Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 22, 2019 at the Midwest Bible Camp in Watertown with Reverend David Patterson officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
Honorary Pallbearers will be his cousins.
Eric Dakota Flisrand is the son of Travise and Wendy Flisrand of Castlewood, SD. He was born on September 22, 1998 in Okeechobee, Florida to Todd and Diane (Blevins) Flisrand. As Navy dependent he was able to live in Florida, Maine, Virginia, Wisconsin, Washington and South Dakota during his short but eventful life. Eric graduated in 2017 from Castlewood High School.
He was a caring young man who would do anything for his friends and had an amazing ability to communicate with anyone. He was quick with a joke and loved to laugh with his friends and family. Always the center of attention at any gathering; his company was enjoyed by everyone.
Eric’s favorite place to live was on Whidbey Island, Washington where he enjoyed the ocean to fish and catch crabs.
Eric is survived by his parents; his sisters, Kyja, Alexzaria and Aryanna Flisrand of Castlewood, SD; his half-sisters, April Murray of FL and Angela Blevins of VA; his nephew, Daniel Jennings of FL; his grandparents, Milton and Joyce Flisrand of Arlington, SD, Jan and Jim Rutenbeck of Cordova, IL, John and Jan Pieczynski of Huntsville, AL; Todd Flisrand (his birth father); and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his birth mother, Diane, on Mother’s Day 2007.
Eric and his charismatic personality will eternally be missed by all those he touched in his life!
