Obituary for Frieda Magee
Frieda Magee, age 88, of Watertown, SD passed away Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Prairie Lakes Hospital.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Grace Lutheran Church in Watertown.
Visitation will 5-7 p.m., Monday, November 25, 2019 at Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel in Watertown.
Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Watertown.
Pallbearers will be Patrick Letze, Brad Krueger, Matt Magee, Rebecca Magee, Jeff Sheehan and Xander Sheehan.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the rest of Frieda's grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Frieda was born on May 16, 1931 in Kintyre, North Dakota to Henry and Eva (Veil) Wolfe. She grew up on the farm near Robinson and attended school in Kintyre and Robinson, North Dakota.
She married Richard “Dick” Magee on November 19, 1951 in Moorhead, Minnesota.
Frieda spent her career raising four children and being Dick’s dispatch secretary. She also was employed at Red Owl, Midtex, County Fair, Econo Foods Bakery and then Frieda retired from the 55+ Center.
Frieda is survived by her children, Myron (Boonyuen) Magee, Rhonda (Rick) Letze and Bruce (Georgia) Magee all of Watertown; three sisters, Shirley Bertsch of Jamestown, ND, Viola Bertsch of Florida and Lenora Woehl of Bismarck, ND; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 4 great great-grandchildren. Frieda was waiting for two more great great-grandchildren to be born. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dick; her son, Doyle; and her siblings, Louise McCullough, Lydia and Carolyn Wallenvien, Rose Lanz, Eddie Wolfe, August Wolfe and Art Wolfe.
