Gwen M. Kliegel, age 58, of Sioux Falls, formerly of Watertown, SD, passed away, from complications of COVID19, Friday, May 8, 2020.
A private family graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Watertown.
Gwen Marie was born February 13, 1962 to Lawrence E. and Geraldine M. (Swenson) Kliegel in Watertown, SD. Gwen attended Watertown schools and high school. She was then employed as plant manager at the Olin Corporation in Watertown. Gwen continued to work until being diagnosed with Schizophrenia and unable to work. She lived in Watertown for many years until moving to Sioux Falls, SD.
She enjoyed Christmas time, Birthdays, talking on the phone and visiting with everyone.
Gwen is survived by her brothers, Gary Kliegel of Waverly, SD, Greg (Pam) Kliegel of Watertown, SD, Glen (Beth) Kleigel of Watertown, SD and Gordon Kleigel of Rauville, SD; four nephews, Christopher Kliegel of Sioux Falls, SD, Daniel Kliegel of Milbank, SD, Josh Kliegel of Watertown, SD and Jacob Kliegel of Watertown, SD; her Aunt, Chris Christensen of Sioux Falls, SD; and her cousin, Barb Kliegel of St. Louis, MO.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Geraldine Kliegel; her father, Lawrence Kliegel; her niece, Kristin Kliegel; her Aunt, Marie Kliegel; and her cousin, Denny Christensen.
