Obituary for James "Jim" Pester
James "Jim" Pester, age 66, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Friday, December 7, 2018 at Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, December 14, 2018 at the Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel in Watertown. There will be a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral chapel led by Father Paul Rutten.
James Robert Pester, son of Roland and Mary (Cordell) Pester was born on October 21, 1952 in Wisconsin. He grew up in Waverly where he attended school. He married Sandra L. Wittrock on August 22, 1975 in Watertown, SD. To this union three children, Lucas, Philip and Matthew were born. Jim was a truck driver for the Borns Group.
He enjoyed tractor pulls, playing with his grandkids and his retirement.
James is survived by his wife, Sandra; three children, Lucas Pester and Philip Pester of Watertown, and Matthew (Elizabeth) Pester of Huron; his siblings, Dave (Mel) Pester of Watertown, Ron (special friend, Barb) Pester of Kranzburg, Noreen Pester of California, Jeff (Lynn) Pester of Brookings, Mary (Wolfgan) Migge and Mike Pester of Watertown, Angie Zgurich of Minneapolis, MN, Annette Sullivan of Grand Forks, ND, and Randy Pester of Aberdeen; and two grandchildren, Alec and Nora Pester.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Phillip and Tom.
