Obituary for Janice Marie Schooley
Janice M. Schooley, age 79, of Estelline, SD, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022 at her residence.

Janice Marie Schooley was born to Theodore and Clara (Moss) Block on September 2, 1943 in Watertown, South Dakota. She grew up in Webster /Watertown where she attended school and graduated from Watertown High School. In 1963 she married Gerald Edgar Schooley in Watertown, SD. To this union, 4 children, Shelley, Brian, Ted and Heidi were born and Janice enjoyed being a wife, mother and homemaker.
The family lived in Castlewood until 1982 when they moved to Minnesota where they lived until 1985 when they moved to Texas. In 2021 they returned to South Dakota in 2021.
Janice enjoyed playing cards, putting puzzles together, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Janice is survived by her children, Shelley (Brian) Kerkvliet of Sundance, WY, Brian (Kathy) Schooley of Watertown, SD, Ted (Cathy) Schooley of Estelline, SD, and Heidi (Jeff) Wilson of Corinth, TX; her sister, Sally Starks of Indiana; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Schooley; her parents, Ted and Clara Block; and her siblings, Betty Rydberg, Mary Schaarn, Bill Block, Arnold Block and Celia Stanton.
