Obituary for Janice L. "Jan" Timm
Janice L. Timm, age 72, of Watertown passed away January 2, 2023.
Funeral service will be 11:00 am, Friday, January 13, 2023 at Family Worship Center Foursquare Church in Watertown.
Visitation will be from 5-7 pm, Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel in Watertown.
Interment will be at Lorinda Cemetery in Henry, SD.
Pallbearers will be Jan's grandchildren: Tylor Struckman, Lexy Lundberg, Mayce Klein, Gage Klein, Jordan Bjornebo, Cole Bjornebo, Riley Timm and Sophie Timm.
Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandchildren: Amelia Timm and Theodore Timm.
Janice LaVonne Timm was born to Arnold and Irene (Kuno) Lohr on September 18, 1950 in Watertown, SD. She completed her Junior year of high school and obtained her GED later in life. In December of 1969
Janice married Earl Timm in Waukegan, Illinois and to this union six children, Terri, Cynthia, Travis, Justin, Matthew and Joshua were born.
Jan loved fishing and enjoyed many road trips to visit cousins, and most the time fishing was involved. She had numerous plants; with African Violets being her favorite. She was an avid Packers and Brewers fan. Jan loved cats and collected a variety of knick-knacks. Before her retirement, Jan loved gardening and did a lot of canning. It's been said that she made the best dill pickles around, unfortunately this hobby and skill did not get passed down!
Left to cherish her memory are Earl Timm of Watertown; her children, Terri (Shane) Struckman of Hazel, Cynthia (Phillip) Klein of Watertown, Travis Timm and his significant other, Tammy Menard of Ankeny, IA, Justin (Geri) Timm, Matthew (Rosann) Timm and Joshua Timm all of Watertown; two brothers, Thomas Lohr of Henry, and Robert Lohr of Clark; 10 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Irene and Arnold Lohr.
