Jeffery (Jeff) David Calvert was born August 9th, 1982, to Anita L. Calvert and David E. Calvert at Memorial Hospital in Watertown, South Dakota. He attended school in Watertown, graduating in 2000 from Watertown High School.
Jeff lived a life full of laughter and always had a story to tell.
Throughout his life Jeff had many hobbies and passions. Shooting darts and playing video games with his friends and brother were amongst his favorites. Whether it was lightning, insects, stars, or landscapes; he loved taking pictures of the world around him. He was very talented at solving puzzles and fixing electronics. Above all, Jeff was intelligent and patient. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. Whether at work or at home, he was always the one to call to fix faulty equipment.
Jeff graduated with honors from LATC with a robotics degree and used his talents as a process engineer at Spartronics for 16 years. Through work he had many opportunities to travel, which he thoroughly enjoyed. From building computers to upgrading stereos, he was always there to help. When the Fourth of July came around he was more than happy to help set up firework shows with Lew’s. Computers and electronics were always his deep passions, and he was just as passionate about teaching others these skills.
Jeff was always a wonderful and proud uncle who enjoyed spending time with his family. He enjoyed playing games with his nieces and nephew, and he always brought the best presents to birthday parties. From flying with his uncle to building RC planes, he found comradery in aviation. Spending time with family was important to Jeff, and he never missed a party.
He is survived by his grandparents, Terry and Joyce Stefferud; parents, David and Anita Calvert; his brother, Scott (Erin) Calvert; his nieces and nephew; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jeff was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Barbara Calvert; great grandmother, Myrtle Steenson; and great grandparents, Dwight and Mary Keller.
