Judy Bruchhof, age 84, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at her residence.
Funeral services will be at 1 pm, Friday, July 22, 2022 at Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer in Watertown with Pastor Dave Nerdig officiating. Music will be provided by Robbyn Gauger Givens as soloist accompanied by A.J. Sherrill.
Visitation will be from 5-7 pm, Thursday, July 21, 2022 at the Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel in Watertown.
Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Watertown, SD.
Pallbearers will be Dan Albertsen, Jeff Bren, Jerry Denholm, Charlie Samuelson, Drew Denholm and Blair Titze.

Judy Bruchhof was born August 2, 1937 to Axel and Hilda (Kinnunen) Sprucelake in Hamlin County, SD.
In her early years, Judy studied piano. She played the organ at her church in Lake Norden. She also played the piano and organ at many weddings and as an accompanist for vocal competitions.
Following graduation from Lake Norden High School, Judy attended Augustana College. She earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from Northern State University in Aberdeen.
Judy married Leonard Bruchhof on June 18, 1960 in Lake Norden, SD. They made their home at Lake Kampeska in Watertown, SD. Judy was an elementary teacher for Watertown Public Schools until she retired in 1998.
She was a member of Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer. Judy was a lifetime member of the National Education Association. She was a member of the South Dakota Education Association, the South Dakota Retired School Personnel and the Watertown Area Retired School Personnel. Judy was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for over 50 years.
Judy is survived by her niece and grandniece, Gina Samuelson and Megan Samuelson of Rapid City; her sister-in-law, Melva (Jerry) Denholm of Omaha, NE; her sister-in-law, Geri Bruchhof of Fargo, ND; her Aunt, Darlene Kinnunen of Bentonville, AR; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leonard Bruchhof, her sister Inez Haan, and several aunts and uncles.
