LeRoy C. Pollard, 85, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at Prairie Lakes Hospital.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel in Watertown.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 30, 2020 at Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel with Pastor Scott Dempster officiating.
Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Watertown, SD.
Pallbearers will be Tyler and Jordan Hamann, Zack Wipf, Jamey and Michael Gloe, Steven Pollard, Jacob Aslesen and Logan Arends.
LeRoy Carl Pollard, son of Carl and Ella (Osterberg) Pollard was born on April 6, 1935 in Goodwin, SD. He grew up near Tunerville where he attended country school. He married Phyllis Campbell on April 27, 1957. The couple had eight children. LeRoy was self-employed; spray coating silos, a CSS Farms truck driver, and was a route driver for the Watertown Public Opinion. Phyllis Pollard passed away in 1971.
LeRoy enjoyed playing cards and Bingo, and loved watching his grandkids play softball and hockey.
LeRoy is survived by his children, Cynthia (Elias) Wipf and Judith Gloe of Watertown, SD, Marsha (Harley) Gloe of Clark, SD, LeDene Sichmeller of Vermillion, SD, Carl Pollard and Peggy (David) Hamann of Watertown, SD; 19 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; his sister, Ruth Ann Hodges of Davenport, IA; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Phyllis, his common-law wife Pauline Briggs, two daughters Patti and Sheila Pollard, three sisters, and two brothers.
