In September of 1969 Mickey married Bill Russell at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She worked for a short time at Ben Franklin and then worked at other various jobs before opening a daycare out of her home.
Love of her family was very important to Mickey and she never had an enemy. She enjoyed gardening, baking and was famous for her cherry chip mini donuts. She also enjoyed playing dominos, yahtzee, solitaire, and doing puzzles with her family. Mickey never had a drivers license and liked watching soap operas and movies into the early morning hours.
Mickey is survived by her son, Robin Russell (Dawn Wangen), and her daughter, Becky Whitlock (J.J. Jones) of Watertown; her siblings, Joann (Bob) Hemiller and Bob (Myrna) Moes of Watertown, Sharon Olson of Atwater, MN, Randy Moes of Watertown, and Kathy (Mark) Brandriet of Brookings; four grandchildren, Autumn and Jake Russell, Blake and Mariah Whitlock; and several nieces and nephews.
