Obituary for Marvin Lloyd Hanson
Marvin L. Hanson, age 85, of Revillo, SD passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022 in Watertown, SD. Private family services will be held at a later date.
Marvin Lloyd Hanson was born to Trigve and Ionia (Adolp) Hanson on October 1, 1936 in Deuel County, South Dakota. He grew up in Deuel County, graduating from Revillo High School. He also graduated from SDSU and the University of Minnesota in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Marvin and Anita G. Squires were united in marriage on September 22, 1962 in Deuel County. The couple lived in Montevideo and then in 1965 in Twin Valley, Minnesota working for Central Exchange. In 1974 the family moved back to the ranch by Revillo until July 2019 when Marvin and Anita moved to Watertown.
He was a member of the South Dakota Charolais Association, Lions Club and was a volunteer firefighter.
Marvin is survived his wife, Anita of Revillo, SD; his children, Renee Mack of Estelline, SD, Paul Hanson of Revillo, SD and Ellen (Mark) McClullouch of Milbank, SD; his brother-in-law, Gerald Buetler of Eureka, SD; his seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Gladys Buetler, Eleanor Stick and Norma Gantvort; and his grandson, Jordan Mack.
