Michael "Mike" Witham, age 55, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls.
Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m., Sunday, December 4, 2022 at the Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel in Watertown.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 5, 2022 at Hosanna Lutheran Church in Watertown with Pastor Craig Werling and Salvation Army Captains AmyJo and Paul Ferguson officiating.
Pallbearers will be Gavan and Jordan Lindner, Corey Stabnow, Mark Hanse, Wade Hall, Rob Henley, Mark Stromseth and Wyatt Christenson.
Memorials may be given in memory of Mike to Codington County Cares, 818 S. Broadway in Watertown or Lane Logan Memorial, 2424 Serenity Dr., Watertown, SD 57201.
Mike was born August 29, 1967 in Rapid City, SD to Ronald and Vicky Mills. They later divorced. Vicky later married Claire Witham. The family lived in various states before moving back to South Dakota in 1971. He attended school in Langford and graduated in 1982.
Mike moved to Watertown and married Tamara Bertsch in 1990. They later divorced. He married Serena Buus in May of 2018. He attended Lake Area Technical College and graduated with an associate’s degree in mechanics. Mike worked various jobs in Watertown and was presently employed at Nutting.
He had a love for family, motorcycles, and helping anyone he could. As a child he enjoyed playing baseball and football. Mike was an organ donor and gave the gift of life.
Mike is survived by his wife Serena Witham and his three children Justin, Kelsey, and Zachary and stepson Adam Buus, and three grandchildren, Baleigh, Hadlee and Chase, his mother Vicky Witham, his sister Barb (Dan) Lindner, nieces and nephews Jordan, Gavan, Ibby, and Gracie. His brother Andrew (Kezia) Witham, niece Madeline, including several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father Claire Witham, his grandparents Charles and Bertha Rademacher, Arden and Irene Witham, cousins Lance Rademacher, Lane Rademacher, Calen Johnson, aunt Bonnie Witham, and uncle David Witham.
