Obituary for Nancy Helen Bell

Nancy Helen (Stricherz) Bell, age 76 of Massillon, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2022 at Rose Lane Care Facility.

She was born June 21, 1946, in Watertown South Dakota, the daughter of the late Killian and Stella (Wall) Stricherz.

Nancy retired from Meadowwind Health Care Center in 1996 where she was an RN.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 52 years, Daniel M. Bell; two sons, Andrew Charles (Karen) Bell, Anthony John (Kathy) Bell; Daughter, Jennie Marie (James) Fetter; three brothers, Killian “Kelly” G. (Carole), Mathias “Matt” (Kelly), David “Dave” (Sue) Stricherz; three sisters, Janice Stricherz, Mary (Pete) Evanson, Luvina “Vina” (Jim) Clendenin; grandchildren, Claire, Ethan, James, Henry, Gracen, Andrew, Gabe, Sean, Zach, C.J.; sisters-in-law, Fe and Bev; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by father, Killian Frederick Stricherz; mother, Stella Ruth Stricherz; brother, Richard Stricherz; two brothers-in-law, Thomas and James (Marlene) Bell.

Mass of Christian in Ohio burial will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 206 Cherry Rd NE, Massillon at 10:30 am with The Very Rev. Canon Matthew (Maciej) Mankowski celebrant.

Calling hours in Ohio will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at Heitger Funeral Home – Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave NW, from 4PM to 7 PM and on Friday, October 21 an hour prior to the service at the church from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM.

***Visitation in Watertown will be from 5-7 pm, with a time of sharing at 6:30 p.m., on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel.

***Mass of Christian burial in Watertown will be at 10:30 am, Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Richard Fox as celebrant. Music will be provided by the Immaculate Conception Funeral Choir accompanied by Helen Gollnick.

Her final place of rest will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Watertown, SD.
