Pamela Jean Sandvik was born October 13, 1948 in Webster, SD to Clarence and Edith (Thorness) Sandvik. Pam married Dennis Kirchmeier on August 19, 1967 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Bristol, SD. Together they raised five children: Sheila, Kristi, Amy, Jeff, and Sarah. Pam enjoyed being a homemaker and stay at home mom raising her children.

Pam had a zest for life like no other. She would light up a room with her smile and would make a point to say "Hi" to everyone. If you didn't respond right away she would continue until you acknowledged her.
While her kids were growing up she was a stay at home mom due to her crippling arthritis. She handled her health with the best spirit. She never let it get her down. She was always there for her kids and anyone she met. She loved life to the fullest.

Her favorite thing to do was to send handwritten cards to everyone. She had the best handwriting in spite of her crippling arthritis. In her later years she needed someone to write them but she always signed them.
Pam moved to Jenkins after her husband passed away. If you were to visit her you'd never find her in her room. She'd either be scooting around, talking to everyone or outside sitting in the sun getting her tan on. She also loved to play Yahtze and hated to lose.

Her favorite pastime, though, was when her family or friends would visit. She'd let you know if you were late as well. Pam's kind spirit was endless and she was a selfless woman.

Pam is survived by her children, Sheila (Steve) Swenson of Watertown, Kristi Kirchmeier of Sioux Falls, Amy Kirchmeier and Jeff Kirchmeier of Watertown, and Sarah (Kerry Ehnes) Kirchmeier of Aberdeen; 12 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters, Monica (Tom) Oberle of Bristol, Gwen (Donnie) Gross of Aberdeen, and Laurel (Randy) Janssen of Sioux Falls.

Pam was preceded in death by her husband Dennis, and parents Clarence and Edith Sandvik.
