Obituary for Pamela "Pam" Knudson

Pam Knudson, 62, of Watertown, SD, passed away February 9, 2020.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Christian Life Assembly of God Church in Watertown with Reverend John Brady officiating.

Visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 14, 2020 at Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel in Watertown.

Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Watertown.

Pallbearers will be Tim Knudson, Steven Knudson, Robert Knudson, Matt Syvertson, Tom Manthey and Gordon Armstrong.

Pamela Jo was born November 10, 1957 to Robert R. and Katherine M. (Prozy) Garrison in Vermillion, South Dakota. Pam grew up and attended school in Ellendale, North Dakota, graduating from Ellendale High School in 1976. She attended Trinity Bible College in Ellendale where she was Social Committee chairman and traveled with the Troubadour Ministry; she also traveled with her parents for Evangelistic Ministry.

Pam was united in marriage with David Knudson on October 20, 1984 in Ellendale and Pam became a mother to Julie Jo. Pam and David were blessed with a set of twins, Travis and Tyler in 1986; and their daughter, Ashley in 1989. The family moved to Massachusetts in 1987 where Pam was employed at the Yankee Candle Company and also the South Shore Medical Center.

Pam was a loving and devoted Christian. She loved being a wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family; she truly loved spending time with her grandchildren. She also took pride in her cat, Candy who was “A girl trapped in a cat’s body!”

Pam’s hobbies included collecting Beanie Babies, candles and Christmas villages. She loved the Christmas season from gift giving to decorating the tree and everything in between.

Pam is survived by her husband, David Knudson of Watertown; her sons, Travis Knudson of Watertown, Tyler (Renea) Knudson and children, Landen, Gavin and Brayden of Watertown, and her daughter, Ashley Knudson of Watertown; Julie (Christopher) Hayes and children, Frank, Joseph, Domonick, Hana, Jauquin and Anderson of Hopewell, VA; her sister, Kathi Garrison of Watertown; her brother-in-law, Hans Theerman of Berlin, Germany; numerous bothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Katherine Garrison; and her sister, Diana Theerman.
