A LEGACY OF RANDY

He grew up on the family farm south of Kranzburg with 11 brothers and sisters. As the 3rd oldest he lived to torment his younger siblings and enjoyed reminiscing about it. Ask any of them and they will be happy to rat him out.

In his younger years his interests were racing and wrecking cars, raising turkeys and wreaking havoc. Randy never backed down from a dare including eating live goldfish and formaldehyde pigs.

As he matured his interests shifted to spending time with his family. From Semi truck trips with his kids from California to Winnipeg, camping, fishing, hunting and spontaneous car trips anywhere in between, he was always up for a family adventure.

At home he was known for his famous 10 lb homemade pizzas, "nutty" malts, and butter soaked brown paper bag of popcorn.

The highlight of his later years was being called Papa by his 10 grandchildren. Although never known to be the most "responsible" baby-sitter, his Love for them overshadowed his overall lack of ability.

He carried on the traditions from his own kids to his grandkids while adding some "unauthorized" ones such as his secret candy stash and having them taste test his special "coffee".

The greatest joy in his life was irritating his wife. From his harrowing driving skills on the cliffs in the hills, trying to sink their boat or constantly enlightening her with false information. He showed his love by their many trips and always standing by her through thick and thin.

He will forever be known for his great sense of humor, signature plaid shirts, bursting out in a random song, infectious laugh and love for his family, or more importantly ---- Whiz's Pizza.

Dad, in the words of Ernest Tubb ---- "Thanks, Thanks A Lot"
