Obituary for Richard "Dick" Rossow
Richard "Dick" Rossow, age 80, of Watertown, SD passed away Sunday, April 23, 2023.
As per Dick's wishes there will be no public funeral service held. However, there will be a private Celebration of Life at a later date for Dick.

Richard Alan Rossow, son of Woodrow and Hila (True) Rossow was born February 19, 1943 in Watertown, SD. He graduated from Watertown High School in 1961. Dick then served three years in the United States Army from 1961-1964 and was stationed in Europe for two and a half years during the Vietnam Era. Dick was honorably discharged in 1964. He then attended SDSU and USD, joined the Watertown Police Department in 1967, retiring after 30 years as assistant chief.
Dick was a member of Ducks Unlimited, Pheasants Forever, ELKS and paid up Life member of the American Legion and VFW.
His hobbies were hunting, fishing, golfing, gardening, traveling and feeding the birds, squirrels and wildlife.
Dick is survived by his beloved daughter, Rochelle “Shelly” Rossow and her domestic partner, Shane Ronke of Watertown; grandchildren, Jordan (Nick) Lawson and Dylan Achterberg all of Sioux Falls; his younger daughter, Noelle Heuer; his sister, Diane Jordan of Watertown and her children, Lacy (Frank) Shepherd, Mark Jordan, Darcy (Neil) Frost; his younger sister, Lexie Foss of Watertown; and several great-grandchildren; his special friend, Barb Weber; his lifelong friends and neighbors on the shores of Lake Pelican; his coffee crew; Brothers in Blue; and his hunting and fishing crew.
He was preceded in death by parents, Woody and Hila Rossow; his wife, LeeAnn; and brother-in-law, Dean Jordan.
