Obituary for Rick Thomas Endres
Rick Endres, age 62, of Sioux Falls, SD passed away, Sunday, June 6, 2021. Funeral mass will be at 10:00 am, Thursday, June 10, 2021 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Watertown with Father Richard Fox as celebrant.Danielle Holmquist-Holida will be the organist with Ina Wesche as cantor-soloist.
Visitation will be from 5-7 pm, Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at the Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel in Watertown.
Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Watertown, with military honors conducted by the US Air Force and the American Legion.
Pallbearers will be Alex Ferguson, Spencer Ferguson, Jon Akre, Dean Maag, Mark Kienast, Steve Thorson, David Johnson and Jon Johnson.
Ricky Thomas Endres was born September 26, 1958 in Watertown, South Dakota to Thomas Richard and Barbara Mae (LaFramboise) Endres. He grew up in Aberdeen, graduated from Roncalli High School in 1976 and then immediately went into the United States Air Force. Rick served from September 29, 1976 to April 4, 1980 to which he was honorably discharged. Following his discharge, Rick lived in Aberdeen until 2019 when he moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He was employed by Twin City Fan for over 25 years. Most recently Rick drove truck for Pepsi.
Rick loved his dogs, Markie and Cricket and they loved him back! He spent many hours in his fishing boat and ice shack. To know Rick was to love him. He cared about everyone. We will miss his quick wit and quips.
Rick is survived by his mother, Barb Endres of Watertown; his siblings, Diana (Shane) Ferguson of Sioux Falls, Kay (Jim) Akre of Parkson, Paul Endres of Watertown and Mike (Kristi) Endres of Watertown; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Tom Endres.
