Robert Mathew Moes was born October 16, 1946 to Harold J. and Margaret (Hanten) in Watertown, South Dakota. He grew up on a farm on the Deuel-Codington counties line. Bob attended grade school through eighth at Holy Rosary in Kranzburg and attended Waverly High School but had to quit in his sophomore year to help run the farm because his father lost his arm in a farm accident.

Bob was united in marriage to the love of his life Myrna Spanton on June 30, 1967 at the Church of Annunciation in Revillo, South Dakota.

He owned Bob & Jo’s Bar & Grill in Kranzburg with his wife Myrna; was the manager of American Legion in Watertown and warehouse manager of Pepsi. In the early 80’s started the family business Creative Rewards, which he continued to work and oversee the daily operations to the present. He was a top notch auctioneer practicing the chant while milking cows on his family farm.

His passion and hobby was Bob’s Mechanical Bull. The events were booked every weekend from Minnesota, North Dakota and far borders of South Dakota. It was a family event like a mini vacation every weekend. He enjoyed mowing the large lawn at his home- the lines had to be perfectly straight! The grandkids enjoyed riding on his lap and eventually fell asleep. He loved to travel. The best vacation was in Florida with all of our family a few years ago. Lots of laughs and love.

Bob is survived by his wife, Myrna Moes of Watertown; his son, Shannon (Kimberly) Moes of Watertown; his daughters, Stacey Moes of Watertown and Becky (John Kittelson) Moes of Henry, SD; his five grandchildren, Kalyssa (Josh) Hanson, Ashley Moes, Austin Moes, Makenzie (Justin Englund) Moes and Kayson Burditt; two great-grandchildren, Miles Hanson and Kenedi Rislov; and his siblings, JoAnn (Bob) Hemiller of Watertown, SD, Sharon Olson of Atwater, MN, Randy Moes of Watertown, SD and Kathy (Mark) Brandriet of Brookings, SD.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Roger Moes; and two sisters, Shirley Moes and Mick Russell.
