Obituary for Rosemarie "Rose" Fromke
Rosemarie "Rose" (widow of Burton) Fromke, age 78, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at her residence.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, February 18, 2021 at St. Martin's Lutheran Church in Watertown with Pastor Paul Janke officiating and Karen Livingston as the organist.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at the Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel in Watertown. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Watertown.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Briggs, Debbie Briggs, Donnie Briggs, Jerry Behnke, John Behnke and Janessa Behnke.
Rosemarie Louise was born on May 14, 1942 in Watertown, South Dakota to Edward and Astrid Louise (Melin) Murphy. Rose grew up in Strandburg, South Dakota where she attended school and graduated.
She was united in marriage with Burton David Fromke on January 1, 1970 in Watertown. The couple celebrated 37 years of marriage before Burton passed away on August 9, 2007.
Rose owned and operated a beauty salon.
She loved her family and friends.
Rose is survived by her children, Kandi Keith of Watertown, SD, Kristi Briggs of Apache Junction, AZ, Jason (Christina) Fromke of Richlands, NC, David (Jennifer) Fromke of Watertown, SD and Mark Fromke of Watertown, SD; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Gary (Linda) Murphy of Colorado Springs, CO.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Astrid Murphy; her husband, Burton Fromke; and her son, Kelly Briggs.
