Obituary for Shawna R. Wren
Shawna Wren, age 45, of Watertown, SD passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021 in Sioux Falls, SD.
Memorial service will be 1:00 pm, Tuesday, June 15, 2021, with visitation starting at 12:00 pm, at Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel in Watertown. Pastor Carol Olson will officiate.
There will be no burial at this time.
Shawna Ranae McBrien Wren was born September 12, 1975 in Watertown, South Dakota to Ronald Dean and Barbara (Schudar) McBrien. Shawna attended Immaculate Conception Elementary School and then graduated from Watertown High School. She also attended St. Cloud University and Mount Marty College receiving her BS in Social Services.
Shawna and David Allen Wren were united in marriage on Saturday, June 17, 2006 at St. Paul’s Church in Clark, South Dakota.
Shawna was employed at various places such as Little Ceasars, Petco, Humane Society, Verifications, LME, Guest Services at Dakota Sioux Casino and several care centers in Clark, SD and Watertown.
Shawna loved her family and friends and enjoyed the outdoor fire pits, parks, camping and fishing. She also enjoyed helping with Kapers, the piano and pet rescue.
Shawna is survived by her husband, David; her children, Chantell (Louis Burley) Wren of Aberdeen, Hunter, Ashlan and Kendra Wren all of Watertown; her siblings, Nichole (Byron) Olson of Clear Lake, Kyle (Shanna) McBrien of Sioux Falls; her mother, Barbara (Delbert Pieschke) McBrien of Watertown; her grandmother-in-law, Darlene Audus; her mother-in-law, Janet Wren of Clark; and her sisters-in-law, Carla (Matt) Jordon of Tea and Janet (Dan) Gehrke of Clark.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ron McBrian; grandparents, William and Arlene McBrien, Paul and Dorothy Schudar; and her father-in-law, John Wren and Ethen Audus.
