Obituary for Susan Jean Morgan

Susan J. Morgan, 55, of Watertown, SD, passed away Tuesday, January 07, 2020 at her residence.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer in Watertown with Pastor Dan Ofstehage officiating.

Music will be by Robbyn Givens, accompanied by A.J. Sherrill and also a special recording of “Go rest High on That Mountain” by Vince Gill.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m., Monday, January 13, 2020 at Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel in Watertown.

Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Aberdeen.

Honorary pallbearers will be the HyVee Chinese Department personnel.

Pallbearers will be Jenifer Morgan, Matthew Morgan, Rodney Bren, Vince Kenitzer, Christopher Kenitzer and Donald Kenitzer.

Susan Jean was born on June 7, 1964 to LeRoy Henry and Ella Tina (Rohrbach) Kenitzer in Aberdeen, South Dakota. She grew up in Aberdeen and graduated in 1982 from Central High School. Susan was employed at HyVee in the Chinese Food Department with the customers being her greatest joy at work. Susan was a very loving mother and ‘stay at home mom’.

Susan loved hosting holidays and spending time with her children, family and friends. She also enjoyed baking and sewing. No matter the time of day, she always enjoyed a fresh pot of coffee.

Susan is survived by her children, Rachel (Craig) Kelly of Watertown, SD, Jenifer Morgan of Fargo, ND and Matthew Morgan of Watertown, SD; her five grandchildren; her significant other, for many years, Rodney Bren; nine siblings, Sheila Sullivan of Hecla, SD, Michael Kenitzer of Cheyenne, WY, Julie (Frank) Burckhard of Aberdeen, SD Joyce Kenitzer of Aberdeen, SD Vince (Lucy) Kenitzer of Aberdeen, SD, Theresa (Jeff) Rogge of Belle Fourche, SD, Christopher Kenitzer of Aberdeen, SD, Donald (Chinyong) Kenitzer of Aurora, CO and Barbara (Jeff) Wacholz of Aberdeen, SD.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her nephew, Dustin Wacholz; her brother-in-law, Tink Sullivan; James Morgan and Jeff Morgan.
