Obituary for Travis J. Strohfus
Travis J. Strohfus, 33, of Watertown, SD, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2021.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Cornerstone United Methodist Church in Watertown with Pastor Luke Smith officiating.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 12, 2021 at the Cornerstone Church.
Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Watertown.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Strohfus, Grant Nelson, Tony Everett, Dominick Everett, Alex Nelson, Rob Hagen, Matthew Moes and Brandon Decker.
In lieu of flowers, memorials will be distributed according to the wishes of the family.
Travis John Strohfus was born on March 15, 1988 in Watertown, South Dakota. He attended school in Watertown and graduated from Watertown High School. Travis was presently employed as a bartender at the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed cooking, camping, singing, socializing with friends and family and meeting people.
Travis is survived by his husband, Chad Stubbe; his parents, Kimm (Grant) Nelson & Joseph Lee Strohfus; his siblings, Chelsea (Matthew) Moes, Alisha Strohfus, Tony Everett, Dominick Everett, Brandon (Keirsten) Decker, Alex Nelson all are of Watertown and Alison Biel of Bismarck, ND; his father, Dennis (Dawna) Everett; his grandmother, Mona Lindgren of Sioux Falls, SD; and his Godparents, Reggie & Joanne Hoffman of Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gary Lindgren; grandparents, Larry & Mary Strohfus, Ed & Elaine Everett and Jerome & Laura Blais; and his great-grandparents, Glenn & Clarice Goodroad.
