Troy Edward Stickle, along with his twin, Trent John was born to Marion and Myrtle (Selchert) Stickle on January 31, 1964 in Westbrook, MN. The family lived in Jeffers, MN for a while before moving to Watertown, SD. He grew up in Watertown and graduated with the class of 1982. During high school he worked at the Drake Motor Inn then went to Smithfield (formally John Morrell’s) and was there until his death. This past summer he was recognized for 35 years of employment with them.

Troy and Tina Motah were blessed with a son Tanner who was born on March 5, 1990. When Tanner was little Troy would take Tanner and Avery (Tanner’s buddy) on the bike trails for an all-day ride, they went to Monster Truck events every year till Tanner reached middle school. Now Troy went from riding bikes to cheering Tanner on at all of his sporting events from basketball to cross country. He was so proud of Tanner’s athletic abilities. He also loved being with his grandson "Bubba" everyday and was a father to Brittany, who he will always treasure as his own. He was a San Francisco 49ers fan and enjoyed fishing.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, his maternal grandparents, his father, his son Tanner Stickle, his brother Gary Stickle, and his nephew Eric Engen.

Troy is survived by his special friend, Tina Motah; his stepdaughter, Brittany Loudner, and grandson, Blane all of Sioux Falls, SD; his mother, Myrtle Stickle; his siblings, Sharleen Engen, Wayne (Kathy) Stickle, Trent (Helen) Stickle and Mitchell (Robyn) Stickle all of Watertown, SD, and Michelle (Les) Peters of Corona, SD; and numerous nieces and nephews.
