Obituary for Vicky Ann Witham

Vicky A. Witham, age 80, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Prairie Lakes Hospital.

A graveside service and burial will be on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Britton Cemetery in Britton.

Lunch will be served at the Roger and Shirley Schuller farm 3 1/2 miles north of Claremont after the service.

Pallbearers will be Bradley Symens, Matthew Schuller, Dan Deutsch, Mark Hanse, Jim Finley and Cory Vinz.

Vicky Ann Witham was born to Charles and Bertha (Lenius) Rademacher on August 17, 1942 in Britton, SD. She grew up in Amherst where she attended school and graduated from Amherst High School. Vicky attended Aberdeen School of Commerce in Aberdeen and received her degree in business.
She married Ronald Mills and they were blessed with 2 children, Barb and Michael. They later divorced.

She married Claire Witham and they welcomed a son Andrew. They made their home near Amherst where Claire farmed and Vicky was a homemaker. She enjoyed living near her family. She worked for the Groton Independent until she moved to Watertown to be closer to her children and grandchildren. Vicky worked for the Watertown Public Opinion until she retired.

Vicky loved to read, garden and spend time with her grandkids.

Grateful for having shared in her life are her children, Barb (Dan) Lindner of Watertown and Andrew (Kezia) Witham of Maine; her daughter-in-law, Serena Witham of Watertown, SD; her sisters, Cleo Symens of Amherst, SD, and Shirley (Roger) Schuller of Claremont, SD; three sisters-in-law, Ruth Rademacher of Watertown, SD, Carol Hanse of Claremont, SD, and Ann Witham of Oklahoma; her brother-in-law, Alan Witham of Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren, Jordan, Gavan, Ibby, Gracie, Justin, Kelsey, Zachary and Madeline; 3 great grandchildren, Baleigh, Hadlee and Chase; and her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Bertha Rademacher; her husband, Claire Witham; her son, Michael Witham; her in-laws, Arden and Irene Witham; her brother, Burton Rademacher; brothers-in-law, Irwin Symens, David Witham and Barney Hanse; and her sister-in-law, Bonnie Witham.
