On June 6, 1959, Vincent married JoAnn Feyereisen at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Kranzburg, SD. Together they raised seven children and celebrated 45 years of marriage. Vincent passed away only 12 hours short of the exact day and time as JoAnn's passing 16 years ago.

Vincent lived on the family farm for many years. At a young age he started farming with his dad until Hubert's death in 1966. He served on the Kranzburg Township board for 26 years, Sioux Valley board for 28 years, was a 4th Degree member with the Knights of Columbus, Elks, St. Francis Men's Choir, and Farmers Union. He joined the SD Army National Guard serving for three years at Fort Leonard Wood, MO and Fort Chaffee, AR.

Vincent was an avid bowler, bowling on various bowling teams, playing pinochle with his kids and grandkids and loved playing swick with his group of special friends, Charlie, Paulette, Jim, Joyce, Bobby and Anna Mae.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife JoAnn, one brother Donald Ries and two brothers-in-law, Edward "Smiley" Buchholz and Vernon "Bud" Hanten.
