Obituary for Wallace E. "Duke" Antijunti Sr.
Wallace “Duke” Antijunti, age 95, of Watertown, SD, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2021.
A private committal service will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Mt. Hope Cemetery with military honors.
Wallace Edward Antijunti was born in Lake Norden, SD on May 22, 1925, to Edward and Phoebe (Wahala) Antijunti. He grew up in Lake Norden and after high school he joined the Navy and then the Air Force.
He was a chief engineer at the power plant.
Wallace is survived by his grandson, Jon (Diana) Heemeyer; and two grandchildren, Kelsey Heemeyer and Emma McKeah
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy (Gartzke) Antijunti; and his children, Cathi Hardison and Wallace “Skip” Antijunti Jr.; and his sister, Joann Moeller.
